FATHER'S GLORY INTERCESSORY PRAYER

Haiti

Pastor Larry and I were to leave this coming Monday for a mission trip to Mountain Top Ministries in Haiti. Our hearts break at the knowledge of so many deaths and hurting and displaced families. All those at MTM are okay, but are now reaching out to shelter, feed, and minister to all who come to them for help. There is still a mission team there (doctors) who were due to go home yesterday, but instead are busy caring for the injured. We pray that God will comfort the grieving, feed the hungry, and heal the injured. We also pray that He will protect and strengthen those serving the Haitians. Let's all join in prayer for Haiti, and ask God to somehow use this to improve the life situation in Haiti and free the natives from the curse of voodoo. God is the God of the impossible. Please intercede for Haiti, Lord. Amen.

Steadfast Prayer in 2010

We've forgotten this blog site, and that is a shame. We will try to use it more, for His Glory. We are so thankful at Father's Glory Ministries to be able to convey in this small way how great He is and how much we love Him. He has answered prayers, and is so faithful. Our little church family is growing spiritually, and in numbers. He has placed us just where He wants us, and provides those "Divine Appointments" that are such a blessing! We pray that He will continue to place in front of us those He wants us to minister to. God is so good! We continue to pray for more laborers in Christ. We especially need those who are anointed in the five fold ministries. We are in desperate need of the couple or couples He has been preparing to lead and teach our children and youth. But we know that His timing is perfect, and will wait patiently for Him to provide. In the meantime we continue to learn, worship, and pray. Praise the Lord, He is in control. Lord, we place ourselves in your Hands, and are so thankful for your love, and we look forward to 2010 and what God has for us.

Praise the Lord for answered prayer! God has blessed us with the opportunity to dedicate and anoint the newest member of FGM. We had approximately 60 people in our little church group Sunday morning to worship, hear the Word, and pray for little Sophie. What a wonder. Nothing is more precious than an innocent baby, and nothing is more serious than the responsibility to love and teach a new life about our Lord. We all at FGM have a wonderfully great Lord who has blessed us beyond measure! We need to continue to pray for our children, that they will grow in the love and teachings of our Heavenly Father. As Father's Day approaches we also need to pray for the fathers that they all realize the privilege and responsibility they have to their children. There is no greater ministry!

Please pray for Bob (my step-brother) who has pancreatic cancer. The doctors are not encouraging at all. and do not add God's healing power into the reports. We're not sure that Bob is saved. Right now he is withdrawn, and quiet. They (he and his wife) live in California. We are praying that the Lord will send someone into their lives who will speak to them about the Lord's saving grace and healing power. Thank you.

21 DAY PRAYER FOCUS

The elections are just 21 days away. (Nov. 4th) The importance of this time in American history is certainly beyond our ability to understand. It is with this frame of mind that the Lord spoke to me about putting together a "Battle Plan" for the next 21 day. Tonight per the Lord's direction we opened the prayer meeting by asking God for guidance in putting this "Battle Plan" together. The scripture the Lord gave me in conjunction with this time was Daniel 10:12-14. The following is the "Battle Plan" that the Lord gave us. Please agree with us in prayer over the next 21 days for the following.

Pray against the spirits of Confusion and Fear.
Pray that Truth will be revealed. (The air ways are being inundated with lies right now)
Pray for God's will to be done in the last Presidential debate.
Pray for ALL the candidates. (protection and wisdom)
Pray for President George w. Bush.

I truly believe this is a mandate from God. I ask that God strengthens each one to focus on this "Battle Plan" I believe God is going to reveal knowledge to His faithful about the days head. May God's hand be on you all.

Please, keep Adrian and I in prayer for our son Brent. He turned 18 in July and decided to move out. He moved in with his aunt and uncle. He decided to quit school this morning and signed himself out. We have been encouraging him not to quit over the past several weeks. He is a very smart kid when it comes to hands on , however he has always been learning disabled when it comes to book studies. It has been hard for him, however when he puts forth an effort he overcomes. He is wanting employment and has wanted this for quite some time. This is his reasoning for quitting school. We are praying that God would open his eyes to see, his ears to hear and protection around him. We have had a very emotional morning and we know that we are fighting a spiritual battle. Pray that God's will be done. God Bless each of you and Thank You for the prayers, "JUST KEEP PRAISING ON, HE IS WORTHY!!!"

Last night at Intercessory Prayer, we began with praise and gratitude to our most Holy Lord. He is so wonderful. We are so thankful for all He has done and is doing in our midst. He is speaking to us in so many ways, and guiding every step we take. Praise His Name! We have given all control over to Him, and know that He is in charge; changing lives, healing and delivering, showing His power in all situations. It is so freeing to be able to let Him be God! Sunday morning we laid it all at the altar, and made the decision to let go, and let God be God in all our lives. What a relief! We are His. He is mighty. Immediately, we had a testimony to His life changing grace. Last night we could only praise Him, worship Him and give ourselves, our children, our country, the election, and Israel over to Him. Hallelujah!!

Waking up this morning my heart is filled with thanks and praise to You, Father God. Lord, forgive me when I take for granted all that you provide. I humbly come to you with thanks for all that you provide for me, my family, my loved ones, and my church. Lord, You are my Provider – Jehovah Jireh. Lord, You are my Creator – Creator of all things on this earth. Lord, You are my Savior. Although I am not worthy, You have given me this precious gift. I acknowledge how precious this gift is and that I am made new – old things put away. I acknowledge the call to be holy. Lord, help me to be faithful to this holy calling – to seek You in all that I do. Lord, I lift up all believers in You and ask for humility and reverence for Your Power and Your Majesty. I pray that each believer will seek You out today and lavish You with love, thanks, and praise and that each will stand in awe of You, Almighty God.

A dear friend of mine Holly Burgess just contacted me and told me that her Father has just been diagnosed with cancer in his rib and spine. The doctor's believe that it started from somewhere else but they need to run more tests to find out where. The family is in shock right now over this news. Holly asked if we would be in prayer for her father. His name is Gary Cunning.

Our call to Worship

God is really bringing us to a place of intimate worship. Individually, He has been calling us into His Presence. Personally, He has been waking me up to worship Him, and giving me an awareness of His love. Corporately, we are entering His Presence with joy and humility, loving to gather together in worship of Him, who is so worthy! We bring our praise together, and freely, and openly worship our Father. His Spirit is manifesting Himself in power and love. He is restoring and rebuilding as we offer ourselves in worship. He is showing us His love, mercy, and authority. Praise His Name! We are yours, Lord! Here we are!

After speaking with Pastor Larry and Scot we are going to try jump starting this Prayer site again. Our hope is that we can all use this site to share our prayer burdens with one another through out the week. If this site catches on we would like to move our weekly prayer meetings to once a month. The hope is we will use this site to not only share prayer request but also words from the Lord and other events that are going on. I will be maintaining this site so just drop me a line if you have questions. I will be sending invites to those of you who do not have access yet.

Prayer Focus:
Over the past several prayer meetings it has become plain that the Lord is urging us to use that time to thank Him. We have been faithful in doing that and that seems to still be the place God has us. However, we need to be mindful of the main areas of prayer we have focused on for the past year and a half which are Poverty, Child Abuse and Abortion. In addition to that I urge you all to be in prayer for the up coming elections. Please be in prayer for Danna Duncan who just lost his job today and for Chuck Scott who just moved to Wisconsin to take an Associate Pastors position. Finally, I want to encourage you all to live Holy lives it is only through lives consecrated to the Lord that we will see revival. No short cuts!

We continued to press into the Holiness of God. We thanked Him for all He has been doing in our midst. We are seeking real revival as defined by a deep inward working of the Holy Spirit resulting in a life of complete devotion to the Father. We must be sickened by our sin. We asked the Holy Spirit to examine us and convict us so that our relationship with and confidence in Christ can increase. We ask the Lord to establish us as a place where the "covenant with Levi" would be upheld. See Malachi 2:1-9 and 3:16-18

Jesus must be at the center of all we do. All of our Christian activities must be in conjunction with our worship of the King of Kings. Only when we engage in heart felt worship of our Lord can a real and pure ministry happen. God is calling us to a place of JOY. We will have to contend for it at times but it will be worth the effort.

Lord cause these statements to explode in the hearts of those who read them.

Urgent Prayer Need

My neighbor Bob has throat cancer and has just finished radiation treatment and has one chemo treatment left. He is down to about 140 lbs. It is all he can do just to drink liquids. He can not eat food at all. His wife has lost her job due to a combination of time off from a broken wrist and because of Bob's needs. In addition to praying for Bob's recovery she has asked that we pray that she finds favor with the unemployment office. Due to Bob's needs she can not even take a new job at this time. She is very scared. God is greater than all of this. Father I ask you to strike in the midst of Bob and Linda's world. Show your love for them, comfort them. Show your power. For your glory I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus.

Tonight we prayed over some area ministries and pastors that are currently being buffeted by the enemy. Some in the the congregation spoke of feeling a heaviness so we prayed for them as well. We thanked God for what He did Sunday. There was little emotion shown at tonight's meeting but much was accomplished in the spirit.

JOY
PRAISE
STRIKE
REJOICE

These four words formed the structure for our time of prayer tonight. The Lord wanted to release JOY into our midst and after fighting through a "wet blanket" that was preventing that joy from manifesting we did indeed experience the joy of the Lord. There was much shouting and praise throughout much of the evening with occasional blasts from the shofar. We sought the Lord and proclaimed INCREASE in many areas such as teaching, joy, laborers, gifts and effort. After praising and thanking the Lord for who He is and what He has done we asked the Lord to STRIKE in the midst of our schools, poverty, abuse and abortion. We asked the Lord for another Great Awakening and felt as though the Lord was assuring us He was already at work in that area. We REJOICED that He hears our prayer and gave thanks for the time those prayer would be manifested in our world.

Crying out for the lost

Lord, we cry out for our family members who are lost. Lord, they are your children - reveal Yourself to them. Lord, we cry out for divine appointments to lead our loved ones back to You - to know you - opportunities to show them that they are known by You and are loved by You. Lord, we strive to be more like you so that they might get a glimpse of how wonderful and beautiful You are and want that for themselves. And peace, Lord, help us to show them the peace that they can have for themselves - just by knowing You. Thank you for all You are and all You do. You are so good! You bless us in so many ways - we are so thankful! May we never forget or take for granted what You've done for us. Lord, we praise You and thank You and love You!

There was a general sense of continuing to press into the Father and waiting on Him. A pouring and emptying of stuff that is not allowing God room to work. Preparing ourselves in this time for what He has in store, things our minds can not contain. Seeking to know His mind and heart, crying out for more workers, crying out to know what the Lord is calling us toward in the way of strategies and plans. Being tired of man made programs and things that do not seem to be working, we will wait on the the Lord for precision. Strike the hearts of your people, shake us, use us, make us more useful for You!! At the end while Dawn was praying, Audrey started crying, she felt that Lord was showing us His heart for that generation, and she began crying out in a powerful way for the children today. Praise Him!!!!!!
